Director Troy  A. Adams, Sr. is a born-again Christian in Jesus Christ filled with the Holy Spirit.  A highly qualified Pastor offering 15 years of ministering experience and 10 years of pasturing experience.  He is an effective Preacher and Teacher of the Word, using sound doctrine to equip the saints while maintaining the mission/vision for the church. 

Director Adams was called as Senior Pastor to New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, FL in March 2006 where he continues to serve.  In this ministry, Rev. Adams communicates biblical truth through preaching, personal witness, teaching, music, and other ways as may be appropriate to fulfill the Great Commission.  Rev. Adams assesses the needs of the ministry community, designs appropriate actions to meet those needs and effectively markets the church's ministry in the community.

Rev. Adams models the role of an effective preacher and teacher.  One of his greatest accomplishments has been leading the church in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive program of discipleship and Christian spiritual growth.  In his time as Pastor. Rev. Adams was blessed by the Lord to lead the congregation in the building of a new edifice for New Jerusalem.

Director Adams has served as a teacher for the Progressive Missionary & Educational Baptist State Convention Congress of Christian Education.  He also served with the Social Justice Commission.  Currently, Rev. Adams serves as Advisor to the State Deaconess Council and Administrative Assistant to the 2nd Vice-President of the Convention.

Director Adams is currently enrolled at Florida Theological Seminary and Bible College seeking a Master's Degree in Christian Theology.  Rev. Adams received his Bachelor of Theology from this institution and a Diploma of Theology.

Rev. Adams has worked in the Health Care and Juvenile Justice arenas as a Counselor and Educator.

Rev. Adams has been married for 20 years to NeVida and they have four children.
